Grid XV - Giclée Print

  • Giclées are prints generated from digital scanning. They are extremely accurate in their interpretations of original works to the extent that they can capture the most subtle nuances of color and texture. The process results in prints that are water, fade and scratch resistant.

The Early Color Abstraction period (2001-03) is characterized by the materialization of the grid, an element that will become part of the artist's signature style in later periods. We observe the black shape, now clearly defined as the main character in the work, accompanied by smaller colored elements to represent factors or situations that cause the individual, the black shape, to change and adapt as a result of the interaction. At this stage, the background is not of great importance, merely behaving as a placeholder for the action that takes place in the different sections of the work.
